SouthStars Day was established in 2016 as a way to gather as club and celebrate our club and it’s achievements. It was designed as a way to encourage the “family” feel and allow teams to get to know one and other. One of the best parts about our club is that it is small and tight knit. Our culture differs from the “huge clubs” and our families really appreciate that. It is also an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our club to individuals who are thinking about joining SSSC.
SouthStars Day is also a club wide fundraiser to help raise money for equipment, field improvements and training costs. Throughout the years the money has helped purchase things such as goals, nets and new coach equipment.
Star City Brewery graciously hosts the event every year. There is a basket raffle (donations from the community as well as each team), food, and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
This is a VERY family friendly event and ALL family and friends of SouthStars Soccer Club are welcome to attend.
The event normally runs from 12:00pm to 4:00 pm. Raffle tickets are sold from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, with the raffle starting at 3pm. We encourage all players to try and attend at least part of the event as it is for a great cause and is always a good time.
